Augsburg is located in the German state of Bavaria and has 300,000 inhabitants. The city originated from a Roman army base, which later became a Roman city. Around the beginning of our era, the city was called Augusta Vindelicum, which later became Augsburg. Augsburg is therefore one of the oldest cities in Germany.
Famous sights are the City Hall, the Perlach Tower and, of course, the Augsburg Puppetry. But above all, Augsburg is a special city that still exudes much of its rich history, a city to go and see.
