Den Helder is the departure point of the ferry to Texel and also houses the largest naval base in the Netherlands. But Den Helder itself has a lot to offer. 
With Willemsoord, the modern entertainment centre and the completely renovated city centre, today’s Den Helder is well worth a visit.
