Leuven has about 100,000 inhabitants and is located on the river Dijle. The city is known for having the oldest university in Europe, founded as early as 1425. The town hall, the Great Beguinage, the Grote Markt and St Peter’s Church are some of the many sights in the city.
Leuven is also known for its nightlife. It is a real student city, which means that on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays it is usually extra cosy in the Muntstraat and other parts of the city centre with its many cosy restaurants. Discover Leuven for yourself now.
